Install an App From a Template
An app adds a whole working area to your workspace — its own records, its own screens, and often a page your customers can use. The fastest way to get one is to install a template that already does the job.
Open Apps from your workspace, then choose App market.
Browse the marketplace
Every template is a complete app someone can start using the same day. The marketplace covers the common shapes of small-organization work: taking bookings, running a shop with orders, a customer loyalty club, scheduling field jobs, selling and checking in event tickets, class timetables, and property listings.
Search by name or by what it does. Anything you've already installed is marked Installed, with an Open button instead of an install one, and your existing apps are listed at the top of the page.
Set it up and install
Select a template to see what it's for. Then:
- Choose Install.
- If the template asks for a few basics — your organization name, a currency, the headline and intro shown to customers — fill them in. These are just starting values; you can change them later from inside the app.
- Templates with nothing to configure install immediately.
The app is created and opens straight away, ready to use with real data.
What you get
Installing gives you a working app, not a blank shell:
- Data models — the records the app keeps, with the right fields already defined.
- Screens — the tables, boards, forms, and dashboards your team works in.
- A public page, on most templates — the part your customers see, like a booking form or a shop front. See running and sharing your app.
- Automations, where the template has them — the things it does on its own, such as sending a confirmation.
Some of that depends on an integration being connected. An app that texts customers needs a messaging provider; one that takes money needs a payment provider. See what each integration category does.
Make it yours
A template is a starting point. Once it's installed you can change it in your own words with Improve with AI from the Apps page — add a field, add a screen, change what happens when a record is created. See building an app with AI.
You can install more than one app, and installing the same template again isn't necessary — open the one you already have.
